Engineering for healthcare & life sciences.
Healthcare and life sciences organisations handle some of the most sensitive information there is. Technology that reduces administrative load can free time for patients and research — but only if privacy, safety and clinical workflows are designed in from the start.
01 / Common challenges
Problems we're equipped to help with.
- Administrative burden
- Referrals, scheduling, correspondence and form handling consume time that clinical and research staff would rather spend elsewhere.
- Unstructured records and documents
- Important information sits in letters, scans and free text that is hard to search, route or reuse.
- Integration with clinical and research systems
- New tools must work alongside existing record, laboratory and scheduling systems without disrupting care or compliance.

02 / How we would approach it
An embedded way of working.
- 01Start with non-clinical, administrative workflows where automation can help safely and measurably.
- 02Treat health data as special-category data: minimise it, control access tightly and keep processing auditable.
- 03Keep qualified people responsible for any clinically relevant decision; tools assist rather than decide.
- 04Work with your information governance and security teams on data protection impact assessments before build.
03 / Considerations
What we plan for from day one.
- Health data is special-category data under UK GDPR and sensitive personal data under India's DPDP Act; lawful basis and safeguards are agreed per engagement.
- Software that informs diagnosis or treatment may be regulated as a medical device; we scope engagements to stay clear of that unless it is specifically planned for.
This page describes how we would approach work in this sector. It is not a list of past clients or projects.
